Cooking & Craft Visual Recipes – 50 Picture Recipes for Speech Therapy & Special Ed (Grades PreK-3)
If you've ever cooked with a small group of kids, you already know the magic: the moment something is in a bowl, everybody starts talking. This pack leans right into that. What you get: - 50 visual recipes & crafts: 10 for fall, 10 for winter, 10 for spring, 10 for summer, and 10 you can pull out any time of year (play dough, flubber, puffy paint, quesadillas...) - A real picture recipe page for each one: what you need, numbered step pictures, a "Let's Talk" strip, and a picture "Check" question so kids can quiz themselves. - Vocabulary flash-card pages for every season. - Lesson plan template and IEP goal planner, so you can jot down speech/language targets (vocabulary, verbs, directions, sequencing, social skills) before you even preheat anything. - Student and group data sheets plus a parent letter and a parent communication form, so families hear about the fun. - Clear, consistent pages - print, laminate if you like, and use them year after year with a fresh group of kids. Who it's for: Ages 4-9 / Grades PreK-3, and honestly anyone older who still loves hands-on learning. Perfect for speech-language pathologists, special ed teachers, ESL/newcomer teachers, homeschool families, and general ed classrooms that want their cooking club to run smoothly with 4-8 kids at a time.
Cooking & Craft Visual Recipes – 50 Seasonal Picture Recipes for Kids | Speech Therapy Cooking Activities, Sequencing & Following Directions | Preschool–3rd Grade
Okay, real talk — getting little kids to sit still, follow directions, AND talk during an activity? Way easier said than done. That’s exactly why I put this bundle together.
These are 50 super simple seasonal snacks with big, clear picture steps, so even your non-readers and shy talkers can jump right in. Each recipe fits on one page: what you need up top, then 4 easy steps with pictures. Print it, cook it, done. No 20-ingredient chaos, no oven marathons — most of these are mix, spread, roll, and snack.
Here’s the thing I love most: every recipe is secretly a language lesson. While the kids are mashing bananas or rolling up toast, they’re naming foods, following 2–3 step directions, retelling steps (first/then/last!), asking for things, taking turns… all the good stuff, without a single boring worksheet.
**What’s inside (67 pages, 8.5×11″, print-ready PDF):**
– 50 one-page visual recipes — 10 Spring, 10 Summer, 10 Autumn, 10 Winter, 10 All-Year favorites
– 5 cute season divider pages so your binder stays organized
– Lesson plan template + IEP goals at-a-glance sheet
– Cooking vocab flashcards (ingredients, tools, action words)
– Student + group data sheets for quick progress tracking
– Parent letter + take-home communication form
– Table of contents with page numbers, plus a thank-you back cover
**How people use it:**
– Speech therapy sessions & small groups (works great for mixed goals!)
– Preschool / kindergarten cooking days
– Life-skills and special-ed classrooms
– After-school clubs, camps, and weekend fun at home
**Grades / Ages:** Preschool – 3rd Grade (ages 4–8). Younger kids will need a grown-up helper — all recipes say “adult supervision required” right on the page.
Just a heads-up: this is a digital download (PDF), nothing ships in the mail. Print the pages you need, as many times as you want, for your own classroom or home use.
Happy cooking — your kids (and their language skills) are gonna love this one! 🍓
Cooking & Craft Visual Recipes — 50 Animal-Themed Visual Recipes for Speech Therapy (PreK–2)
## GRADES / AUDIENCE
– **Grades:** PreK, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd (ages 4–8)
– **Perfect for:** Speech Therapy, Special Education, Life Skills classrooms, small groups of 4–8 students
## PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Okay, real talk — this is the pack I wish I’d had my first year in the schools.
It’s 50 (yes, FIFTY) visual recipes, all animal-themed, all pictured step by step so your littles can follow along even if they aren’t reading yet. Ten recipes for each season — fall, winter, spring, and summer — plus ten more you can pull out any old week. Owl rice balls, penguin sandwiches, shark jello cups, panda rice balls… my kids literally cheer when the recipe binder comes out.
But here’s the part your admin will like: every recipe doubles as a language session. You’re hitting vocabulary, verbs, following directions, sequencing, asking and answering questions, and basic concepts — and the planning part is already done for you. Lesson plan templates, IEP goal sheets, and data sheets for individuals AND groups are all in there, so progress monitoring doesn’t turn into a Sunday-night scavenger hunt.
Also included:
– 36 cooking vocabulary cards (ingredients, tools, and action words)
– 50 comprehension cards with picture answer choices — great for your non-readers
– A black & white mini book for every single recipe — kids color it, take it home, and (fingers crossed) talk their families into making it again. Instant homework, zero complaints. Mostly.
– A parent letter + home connection sheets, because we’re not doing this alone
Best for PreK through 2nd grade (ages 4–8), and honestly a great fit for self-contained and life-skills classrooms too. I run it with small groups of 4–8 students. Everything prints on regular 8.5 x 11 paper — laminate the recipe pages and this thing will outlive us all.
Happy cooking! 🥄🐤

Product Description
If your students love snacks, pretend play, or anything that feels like a mini cafe, this set is a fun way to turn cooking time into language practice. Each recipe is laid out with picture-supported steps so students can follow along without getting overwhelmed. You can use it during speech sessions, special education life skills lessons, classroom cooking groups, or a Friday fun activity that still has plenty of learning built in.
The recipes are simple, visual, and easy to talk through. Students can name ingredients, answer WH questions, practice first/next/then/last, request tools, take turns, describe tastes and textures, and retell what they made. The cafe menu and order script are great for quick role play, too.
Teacher note: Some recipes may need adult help for heating, blending, cutting, or freezer use. Always check allergies and follow your school food policy.
Cooking & Craft Visual Recipes Bundle | 50 Seasonal Step-by-Step Recipes for Speech Therapy | Year-Round Visual Cooking
I made these 50 visual recipes so my students could actually FOLLOW the steps themselves without me reading every single word. Each recipe has the same super predictable layout — that black banner on top, a little “WHAT YOU NEED” section with real pictures, and then 4 big steps with hands showing exactly what to do. Kids get it right away.
What’s inside?
You get 10 recipes for each season (yep, Valentine’s, St. Patrick’s, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas… plus 10 “anytime” party recipes like Birthday Cake Cups and Balloon Cake Pops). That’s 50 recipes total!
And it’s not JUST recipes. I also threw in all the extras I was using in therapy anyway:
– Binder cover + color-coded season tabs + spine so your binder actually looks cute
– Lesson plan template that lets you plug in IEP goals and CCSS
– IEP goals sheet (so you’re not scrambling to find them mid-session)
– A full set of cooking vocabulary cards you can put on the word wall
– Comprehension cards with picture choices (great for data)
– Student + group data sheets
– A sweet parent letter to send home, and
– Black & white mini booklets — kids cut, fold, and take them home to make again with their families. Parents LOVE these.
How I use it:
I’ll pull a group of 4-8 kids (depending on age/need), lay out the vocab cards first, then let them take turns being the “chef” for each step. We’re hitting SO much without it feeling like work — vocabulary (flour, whisk, sprinkle…), verbs (pour, mix, knead), following directions, sequencing (first/next/last), answering questions, basic concepts, even social skills like taking turns.
No fancy ingredients, no reading level needed, and everything works in a real classroom or speech room. Print and go — seriously, that’s it.
If you’re an SLP, special ed teacher, or just someone who loves hands-on learning, this will be one of those resources you pull out every season. My kids literally ask, “When are we cooking again?”

Cooking Around the World | 50 Visual Recipes for Speech Therapy, Cooking Groups & Life Skills | PreK-3rd
Okay, real talk — my cooking groups run on these pages. I got tired of printing “recipes” that were just walls of text and watching my kids’ eyes glaze over, so I made a whole year of visual recipes instead. Fifty of them. Ten for spring, ten for summer, ten for fall, ten for winter, plus ten you can pull out any time of year. Every single one fits on one page, with a little picture for every ingredient and every step.
Each recipe is just four steps with cute, flat cartoon pictures, so even my non-readers can follow along with a little help. And the “adult handles the hot stuff” steps are called out right on the page (“Adult uses oven!”, “Adult boils!”), so nobody has to guess who does what.
Here’s what I actually use these pages for, besides the obvious cooking fun: food and country vocabulary (each page has a little “A taste of …” line, so sneaky social studies slips in), following directions, sequencing and retelling, answering and asking questions, requesting, commenting, basic concepts — all while making something the kids get to eat at the end. Motivation is not a problem with this one, trust me.
What you’re getting: 53 letter-size (8.5×11) pages — a cover, two contents pages, and the 50 recipe pages, all numbered so your binder stays sane. Print it, hole-punch it, done. It also works beautifully as send-home practice, a classroom cooking-day centerpiece, or a push-in activity for mixed groups.
Fair heads-up: you’ll want an adult around for anything involving heat, and maybe extra napkins. Always extra napkins.
Hope your kids love making these as much as mine do!

$1.90If your kid is at the “scribbles way more than words” stage, this is exactly what you’re looking for.
I built this journal for preschool through first grade (ages 3–7), and honestly it’s become my go-to for pre-writing practice. Everything in it points to one goal: getting little hands strong and steady before the real writing starts.
What’s inside (42 pages, 8.5 x 11 in, instant PDF download):
– Line tracing x 6 pages (straight, slanted, curved, zigzag, dotted & dashed)
– Shape tracing: circles, squares, triangles, ovals, stars, hearts & more
– The full alphabet — uppercase A-Z and lowercase a-z tracing pages
– Numbers 1-20 tracing + a matching number chart
– “My Name” tracing and writing pages (kids always ask for these first)
– Hands-on pages: stamping, scissor practice, cut-out shapes, tear & paste, sticker practice, and a coloring page
– Fine motor developmental continuum + skills & goals sheet (handy for progress notes or IEPs)
– Parent and teacher guide pages
Who it’s for:
Preschoolers, PreK, kindergarteners, and first graders. Works great as morning work, a small-group table activity, or a little homework packet.
A few honest notes:
– It’s a digital download — you print it yourself. Practice pages are mostly black & white with colorful accents, so it’s easy on your ink.
– For the activity pages, just have safety scissors, stickers, and some playdough on hand and you’re set.
If you’ve got a wiggly one who needs more pencil time but keeps asking “when do we play?” — this is a decent middle ground. They think it’s games. Their hands are getting strong. Win-win.
